GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The REBORN project will offer EU regions the opportunity to learn policies and transfer good practices in second chance entrepreneurship (given that there are not enough tools and knowledge in Europe to help business when failure occurs) by boosting SMEs in key regional sectors to overcome the bottlenecks that currently exist.
OBJETIVES:
The main objective of REBORN is to contribute to the increase of competitiveness at European level and accelerate regional economic growth through the improvement of policies related to entrepreneurship and business start-up support, helping SMEs at all stages of their life cycle, including measures to avoid “the loss of potential of entrepreneurs”, supporting the capacity of SMEs by involving them in regional, national and international growth.
The REBORN project will work on the exchange of experiences in the field of re-entrepreneurship, learning about what the other regions participating in the project are doing in this area and designing a Regional Action Plan focused on three lines of work:
- Offering financing solutions to companies looking for a second chance after a failure.
- Work to improve the image of the re-entrepreneur while helping them overcoeme a bad experience.
- Developing new entrepreneurial skills and abilities that allow for the early detection of risk situations.
