Success Patterns of Data-driven Business Opportunities

Organized by BDVe project: Sonja Zillner (SIEMENS) and Tonny Velin (CEO Answare & Presidente CENTIC)

Objectives: How to identify promising data-driven business opportunities? Are there best practices or success patterns one can rely on? These are the two questions that are the focus of this session.

Proposed approach: DDI Framework as a Value Proposition for Start-ups

DDI Framework is a methodological approach for screening and developing data-driven business opportunities that reflects the economics of data, the disruptive potential of data-driven innovation as well as the high dynamics of data ecosystems.

DDI Framework was developed and tested in the context of the Horizon 2020 BDVe project: https://www.big-data-value.eu/

Based on our results of a quantitative and representative study of data-driven business opportunities, we will introduce patterns and success criteria of successful data-driven start-ups.

At the end of the session, we will share practical experiencesof how to use DDI Framework for the continuous analysis of all influencing factors of data-driven business opportunities.
