GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The project has been designed with the following specific priority in mind: “Promoting business education and social entrepreneurship among young people”. It will enable young people who want to start their entrepreneurial experiences in the social field to put their ideas into practice with the aim to help them overcome the problems of unemployment and lack of possibilities, and to empower them with the necessary skills that are crucial for entrepreneurs.
The project will help young people develop basic and transversal skills related to social entrepreneurship using an innovative and learned-centred pedagogical approach.
OBJECTIVES:
General Objective:
To introduce the concept of social entrepreneurship, increase young people interest in it, and contribute to the creation of successful new social enterprises with the potential to revitalise communities and strengthen local and national economies.
Specific Objectives:
- To motivate potential entrepreneurs to develop business ideas and start a social business.
- Support the professional development of young entrepreneurs through a series of transnational trainings and online video tutorials to improve entrepreneurial, business and personal skills and competencies.
- Facilitate the establishment of social enterprises through the creation of a handbook containing a step-by-step guide on how to set up a social business.
- Support the start-up phase of 50 early/potential stage young social enterprises through the implementation of an innovative mentoring and business training programme and valuable advice from the conssortium’e lead country UK.
