WINNERS XIII EDITION

A competition aimed at High School and Vocational Training students that proclaims the most creative student in the Region of Murcia

ORGANIZATION

Organized by the European Business and Innovation Center of Murcia, in collaboration with Seneca Foundation and the Faculty of Psychology of the UM.

WHAT DO WE WANT?

Our goal is to promote and disseminate the scientific spirit and creativity amog young people in the Region of Murcia, as a driver of innovation and as a quality inherent to entrepreneurs.

PARTICIPANTS

The contest is open to all students in the Region of Murcia from public,subsidized and private schools. Students who are studying High School or any cycle of Vocational Training can participate.

 

Students who have alredy participated in previous edition are not eligible to participate.

STRUCTURE

The competition consists of two phases:

1st PHASE

It takes place on Wednesday, November 8,2023 in ONLINE MODALITY and serves to select the 30 students, with the highest qualifications, who will go to the 2nd phase.

2nd PHASE

It will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 in PRESENT MODE. It is the final phase and will take place in the auditorium of the CEEIM.

REGISTRATIONS

SCHOOL: The registration of your school should must be done before Sunday, October 22nd in the form SCHOOL REGISTRATION.

PARTICIPATING STUDENTS:

The participating students, individually, must register in the PUPIL REGISTRATION from between October 23rd and 25th.

Remember that it is VERY IMPORTANT! To write well the “email” field in order to have acess to the 1st phase of the ONLINE modality!

TESTS

The test,in both phases, consistof solving creative test, of vatying difficulty, within a set time for each question.

After a brief explanation, a timer will start indicating the time limit.

CLASSIFICATION

1st PHASE:

On Wednesday 8th form 17:00 the schools classified for the 2nd phase will be announced, as well as the names of the finalist students.

2nd PHASE:

On Friday, November 10, during the morning, professors from the Faculty of Psychology, will evaluate the test performed by the participants, and will announce the names of the 3 most creative students in the region.

A 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize will be awarded to the three most creative students in the Region of Murcia.

WHAT IS IT?

It is a competition aimed at High School and Vocational Training students, which proclaims the most creative student in the Region of Murcia.

Participants, through the resolution of creative tests, measure their creative ability as a process to generate ideas by exploring various possible solutions to the same challenge.

OBJECTIVE

Promote and dissemination the knowledge and scientific spirit through the creativity among the youngest in the Region of Murcia as an inherent quality of the entrepreneur profile.

Creativity is an quality inherent to entrepreneur and human beings. It is key to seize opportunities, generate ideas and materialize projects, so it is important to work on it form early age.

ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS:The importance of fostering the entrepreneurial attitude in the classroom aims to encourage students to be willing to accept challenges, to be much more flexible in the face of change and to develop a series of skills that will serve as leverage when facing the labor market.

INNOVATION AND BUSINESS:In such a globalized world and with so competition, it is vital for companies to create solutions that have a diferencial advantage over their competitors.

Promoting creativity in the work teams from the classroom causes a differential value in students in their jump to the labor market.

STEAM DISCIPLINES: The careers are focused on these areas are so-called professions of the future, and they   require different skills.

Participants, through the resolution of creative tests, measure their creative ability as a process to generate ideas by exploring various possible solutions to the same challenge.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?

In this competition ,participants solve a determined number of creative tests, in a limited time and established by the organization for each question, which allow the evaluation of different creativity indicators proposed by different expert authors form the Faculty of Psychology of the UM.

1st PHASE ONLINE MODE 

This phase tkaes place on Wednesday, November 8,2023 in ONLINE MODALITY and is used to select the 30 students, with the highest scores, who will go to the 2nd phase.

The only thing you need is to hace a school center equipped and with internet connection.

Once the students have registered, the will receive a link to contest and the access data in the e-mail indicated in the PUPIL REGISTRATION form.

The student´s answers are automatically recorded and we take care of the evaluation.

Some of the skills we will measure:

-ALTERNATING FLUENCY

-VERBAL FLUENCY

-ASSOCIATIVE FLEXIBILITY

-CREATIVE LOGIC

On Wednesday 8 form 17:00 the schools classified for the 2nd phase will be made public, as well as the names of the 30 finalists.

This new format is very easy to use and allows the participation of more students from schools in the Region of Murcia.

2nd PHASE FACE-TO FACE MODE

On Friday, November 10, in a morning session, in the facilities of CEEIM, and after a brief presentation of the tests, the 30 finalist students will perform x creative tests under the supervision and assistance of the team of professor of the Faculty of Physiology , coordinated by D.Javier Corbalán professor of the Department of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatment.

Throughout the morning the 3 most creative students of the region will be announced and the awards of the region will be announced and the awards ceremony will take place.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Students who during the course of the Olympiad are studying in:

-1st and 2nd Baccalaureate.

-Basic Vocational Training Cycles.

-Intermediate Vocational Training Cycles.

-Higher Level Vocational Training Cycles.

-Plastic Arts and Design Training Cycles.

-Special Regime Sports Education of Medium Level: Initial Cycle and Final Cycle.

-Higher Level Special Regime Sports Education.

Those students who have already attended in previous calls will not be able to participate.

How do I participate?

ENRROL YOUR CENTER

Please complete the CENTER REGISTRATION form to let us know if you are interested in participating before October 22, 2023 at 23:59h.

ENROLL YOUR STUDENTS

The participating students, individually, must register in the STUDENT REGISTRATION form, available from October 23rd to October 25th, 2023.

Remember that is VERY IMPORTANT! write well the field “email” to have access to the 1st phase of the ONLINE modality!

The same day of the competition you will receive in your mailbox a connection link for the ONLINE modality.
